Chapter 112

Chapter 74 Part 3

"No problem," Cui Yi said, "Just have him supplement an additional signature when he sees his dad, as a joint authorization."

"Okay," Yan Hang nodded.

Chu Yi was standing on the side in a daze, and quickly asked another question after thinking about it, "Is there going to be, fees?"

"I'll get the fees from Yan Hang," Cui Yi said, "You can pay him back in the future."

"How long is the detention period?" Yan Hang asked.

"Normally decide whether to approve arrest within 3 days, and whether to approve arrest within 7 days," Cui Yi said, "If there are special circumstances, up to 14 days."

"Does his dad's case count as special circumstances?" Yan Hang asked again.

"Hard to say for now, have to see what happens after meeting him," Cui Yi said.

Back at Yan Hang's home, Chu Yi took a shower and sat spacing out on the sofa.

This noisy night...no, it should count as a noisy day.

He felt like he had experienced all sorts of emotions today, ups and downs all day, his mind filled to the brim. Up until now after the shower, without the music and chatter around him, he finally felt his entire being slowly calming down.

"Hurry to sleep," Yan Hang came out after a shower, drying his hair as he spoke, "We still have to go sign the paperwork tomorrow morning, have to get it done early so lawyer sis can go over sooner."

"Lawyer sis is Uncle Cui's classmate," Chu Yi said, "She's a sis and he's an uncle."

"Right," Yan Hang smiled and nodded, "Girls go from little sister to young miss to big sister to sister, different from guys."

Chu Yi smiled.

"Go sleep quickly," Yan Hang said.

"Can't sleep," Chu Yi said.

Yan Hang looked at him without speaking.

Chu Yi tilted his head, looking at Yan Hang: "Actually I didn't, want to bother with my family stuff originally."

"I know," Yan Hang said.

"But still worried," Chu Yi frowned.

"That's normal too," Yan Hang said, "After all he's your biological dad."

"My mom and, grandma don't care," Chu Yi said.

"You're not the same kind of person as them," Yan Hang said, "But...if you don't want to bother, you don't have to."

"I can't do much anyway," Chu Yi sighed, "I just, just want to know why, what exactly happened."

"Right," Yan Hang threw the towel onto the sofa armrest and sat down next to him, "Don't think too much, we'll sign the paperwork tomorrow, the lawyer can talk to him and figure out what's going on."

Chu Yi nodded. After a while, he glanced at the towel thrown on the armrest: "Still wet right?"

"Oh," Yan Hang felt the towel, "Just used it to dry my hair, of course it's still wet."

"Leather sofa," Chu Yi said, "Will it mold?"

"...does your brain spin forward sometimes, backward other times," Yan Hang got up to return the towel to the bathroom, "And goes sideways at times too?"

Chu Yi smiled, "Don't know."

Yan Hang sighed, "Go to sleep."

Couldn't sleep.

Chu Yi lay in bed facing Yan Hang, hand placed on his stomach, able to feel the rise and fall of Yan Hang's breathing.

Yan Hang couldn't sleep either.

Even if there was nothing else on his mind, after such an eventful night, falling asleep right away would not be easy.

What was on Yan Hang's mind was even more than what was on his own mind.

His dad had been arrested. Whether it was for good or bad reasons, whether the outcome would be good or bad, at least there was now an outcome. But there was still no clue at all regarding Shushu.

Yan Hang may have originally been calm, only needing to wait patiently. But now that calm had been disrupted.

Chu Yi frowned slightly.

"Fart puppy," Yan Hang said softly, "Can't sleep?"

"Yeah," Chu Yi responded. "I'll be able to tomorrow. Don't worry."

"I'm not worried," Yan Hang smiled.

Chu Yi's fingers lightly scratched at Yan Hang's belly a couple times, hesitating a little. But he still opened his mouth: "Yan Hang."

"Hmm?" Yan Hang grabbed one of his fingers, rubbing it back and forth.

"If...if it was my dad who made Uncle get hurt," Chu Yi said with great difficulty, "would you be mad at me?"

"I wouldn't," Yan Hang turned his head. "Why think that?"

"Just thinking randomly," Chu Yi said.

"It wasn't you who did it anyway," Yan Hang said. "Why would I be mad at you?"

"A father's debt becomes his son's," Chu Yi said.

Yan Hang laughed. After a while he said: "Then that's fine too. You can pay with your body."

"No...way," Chu Yi was stunned for a bit. "I'm still so young."

Yan Hang didn't say anything, just kept laughing.

Chu Yi sighed. He couldn't help laughing too.

The two of them loudly cackled in the darkness for a good while.
