Chapter 131 - Chapter 104 Part 3

"Drink," Jiang Cheng also laughed, "Drink more."

Gu Fei bit the straw and drank most of the water, then gently exhaled, "I'll just have porridge later."

"It's no trouble to cook noodles," Jiang Cheng said, "Don't force yourself on my account."

"I just feel like," Gu Fei said with eyes closed, curling his lips into a faint smile, "Your cooked noodles, taste worse than porridge."

"Oh really," Jiang Cheng chuckled, "Fine, sleep some more, I'll call you when the porridge is ready."

"Mm." Gu Fei responded and quickly fell back asleep.

Pan Zhi's message came in.

- My mom said noodles are hard to digest, porridge is better. Add some minced vegetable leaves, mix in some oyster and sesame oil, or make some sauce tofu to go with it.

- Thanks for asking your mom for me

- I already thanked her in advance

Jiang Cheng smiled and put his phone aside. After changing Gu Fei's towel again, he sat on the small stool and continued staring at him.

He was used to seeing the calm, cold to others but smiling to him Gu Fei. Now seeing such a fragile, pitiable Gu Fei, he felt an indescribable tenderness.

He wanted to kiss Gu Fei, hug him.

He leaned in and very lightly touched his lips to Gu Fei's.

Gu Fei's lips were still a little moist from drinking water. Lightly touching them felt very nice.

Not until the rice cooker in the kitchen dinged did Jiang Cheng stand up to add ingredients to the porridge as Pan Zhi's mom suggested.

Maybe from sitting too long, when he got up it was a bit sudden. He almost fell when he turned, having to grab the nearby table to steady himself and wait for the sparkles in his vision to disappear before quietly sneaking into the kitchen.

Staring at one's boyfriend to this extent was truly wholehearted.

He washed a few vegetable leaves, chopped them up, and sprinkled them into the cooked porridge, stirring it. Then he added just a tiny bit of oyster oil and sesame oil since it should still be light. As long as it had some flavor.

When Jiang Cheng set the porridge on the coffee table, Gu Fei opened his eyes, "Smells good."

"You're awake?" Jiang Cheng leaned over to feel his face, still quite hot.

"Mm," Gu Fei moved a little, "Let me try it."

Jiang Cheng propped him up to sit on the sofa and wrapped him snugly with the blanket again.

"I..." Gu Fei looked at him, "How do I eat?"

"I'll feed you." Jiang Cheng sat on the coffee table with the bowl in one hand and spoon in the other, facing him.

Gu Fei didn't speak, just smiled, though it looked somewhat strained due to weakness.

"What are you smiling about," Jiang Cheng tasted a spoonful first, it was surprisingly pretty good, or maybe he was just hungry, "It's decent, try it."

"I just find it funny," Gu Fei opened his mouth to eat, "Mm, not bad, did you add oyster oil?"

"Just a tiny bit," Jiang Cheng said, spooning another mouthful to him, "Didn't dare add too much, wasn't sure if you could take it."

"Actually," Gu Fei spoke as he ate, "It's just a fever, no big deal."

"You even fainted and your voice is hoarse," Jiang Cheng frowned, "In your world, what counts as a big deal?"

"I was tired and wanted to sleep." Gu Fei said.

"Gu Fei, do you know," Jiang Cheng looked at him, "I just don't like seeing you forcing yourself like this."

Gu Fei didn't respond.

"What, isn't that how it is?" Jiang Cheng said, "Force yourself with others, fine, but why force yourself with me? Can't you be weak in front of me?" His voice softened, "Burning up like this, hugging you would be like a hot water bottle..."

"Then hug me." Gu Fei said.

"Huh?" Jiang Cheng was surprised.

"Hug." Gu Fei said.

Gu Fei's slightly hoarse, almost whiny "hug" was like an electric current traveling through Jiang Cheng, instantly melting his heart. He almost dropped the bowl.

"After you finish the bowl." Jiang Cheng said.

"Mm." Gu Fei nodded.

Gu Fei was definitely still very uncomfortable. Usually he didn't eat much, but today he was full after half a bowl.

Jiang Cheng finished his leftover half bowl, then served himself another full bowl in the kitchen before feeling less hungry.

Returning to the living room, Gu Fei was still bundled in the blanket sitting on the sofa, but with eyes closed.

Jiang Cheng measured his temperature again. 38 degrees this time. Though the drop was small, at least it didn't continue rising. Like Gu Fei said, a fever itself wasn't a big deal. But right now, Gu Fei's condition was more than a simple fever. The accumulated fatigue had erupted. Otherwise, he wouldn't be this weak, constantly sleeping.

"Baby," Jiang Cheng touched his forehead, "Lie down? Or go sleep in bed?"

Gu Fei didn't speak, just opened his eyes looking at him.

"Hm?" Jiang Cheng looked back, "What's wrong?"

Gu Fei still didn't speak.

They stared at each other for a long time before Jiang Cheng suddenly remembered, "Ahhh, hug, here I come, coming!"

He sat next to Gu Fei and engulfed him blanket and all in his arms, "Brother Cheng hugs."

"Sing me a song, Brother Cheng," Gu Fei leaned against him and closed his eyes again, "A lullaby."

"Okay," Jiang Cheng cleared his throat, "Little bunny be good, open the door, hurry and open it, I want to come in..."
