Chapter 120 - Idiots and Fools Part 1

His little brother? It was truly inexplicable.

Shi Jin was feeling a bit annoyed. He had lived for so long without ever feeling irritated or fed up, but now he was truly starting to feel annoyed. It wasn't because of Rong Zhouzhong, but because of this seemingly never-ending brotherly relationship.

"When will this end...hey, Xiao Si, can I beat this cream-covered guy to death? Can I?"

Xiao Si didn't respond, remaining silent as if it had never existed.

Shi Jin couldn't take it anymore. He grabbed Rong Zhouzhong's arm and pushed him roughly against the chair. He grabbed something and wiped the cream off his face, staring at him impatiently. "Rong Zhouzhong, don't you have a lot of grievances against me? Don't you hate me? Speak up, say it all! I want you to say it all!"

Rong Zhouzhong was stunned by his actions and looked at him in confusion, seeing his rare impatient and irritable appearance. His lips moved and he called out, "Xiao Jin..."

"Don't call me like that! 'You fat pig', 'You stupid fool who knows nothing', 'You are so hateful and pitiful', 'Are you going to die? Are you finally going to die?', 'Why did the Shi family have to add one more child like you?' These are the things you want to say, right? This is how you really see me, isn't it? Say it, say everything you want to say, I want you to say every single word!"

Shi Jin said fiercely, his voice gradually getting louder. Those emotions that he had let himself indulge in, but couldn't fully immerse himself in like last time, suddenly surged forward.

The surroundings were no longer the movie room, but the magnificent empty house of M country, the terrifyingly white hospital, and the immobilizing hospital bed. He sat in the empty house, sat in the deserted garden of the hospital, and lay on the bed without any warmth. People came and went around him, but no one listened to him or reached out to him. He was a disfigured monster, a pitiful fat boy waiting for death in despair.

Then his beloved third brother came, with the posture of a victor, using condescending pity and mocking eyes to say those heart-wrenching and bone-chilling words.

[Shi Jin, I hate you, everyone hates you. You're not really a child of the Shi family, are you? Look at you, so ugly and fat, a fatso waiting to die.]

[Are you stupid for wanting to go against Xu Tianhua and Big Brother? Oh wait, I shouldn't even ask, you're already stupid. You're a clueless fool.]

[Do you want to know the truth? I can tell you everything... Why are you crying? You're so hateful and pitiful.]

[Don't be naive, everyone doesn't really see you as a little brother. You're different from us... Why did the Shi family have to add another child like you?]

[Are you going to die? You're finally going to die. Remember not to be born into the Shi family in your next life, no one wants a brother like you.]

Memories rushed in ferociously, along with feelings of despair, injustice, anger, and more. He had not fought back against these words, whether due to shock, sadness, or physical reasons, and these feelings were now roaring with indignation, howling to tear everything apart. Shi Jin closed his eyes tightly and suddenly reached behind his waist, pulling out a dagger and flicking the blade next to Rong Zhouzhong's handsome face.

Rong Zhouzhong's pupils shrank and he exclaimed, "Shi Jin, what are you doing!"

"I will kill you," Shi Jin looked at him, moving the dagger to his lips. His gaze fell on them, with a hint of madness and frenzy. "I feel so uncomfortable... just because I started over, just because I changed everything... and then you all forgot, only I remember, only I am left! Why do you now come and act like good brothers?

"What I experienced can't be compensated with a few caring words and apologies. You don't even know what happened, you forgot how cruel you once were. How can that compensation be enough? How insincere are those apologies! Why do you all not remember? Remember, please remember, why don't you remember!"

"Xiao Jin..." Rong Zhouzhong stared at him in confusion, reaching out to touch his face. "Don't cry, don't cry..."

"Don't move!" Shi Jin suddenly hardened his expression, forcefully pressing him against the backrest. He spoke coldly, "It's okay if you don't remember, I'll make you realize what you've done. Repeat after me, 'you fat pig'."

Rong Zhouzhong's shoulder hit the chair back and it hurt a bit. He looked at Shi Jin, who was clearly not in his right mind, and frowned. "Xiao Jin, you..."

"Say it!" Shi Jin cut off a strand of his hair with a knife, his voice heavy. "If you don't say it, the next thing I cut will be your face."

He was serious, Shi Jin's words were serious, he really would take action.

Rong Zhouzhong opened his mouth, but couldn't make a sound. He couldn't speak, his intuition told him that those words couldn't be said, if he said them, everything would be over. Shi Jin stared intently at his lips, his eyes filled with a fervent expectation, but he didn't hear a sound from Rong Zhouzhong.

"Why aren't you saying it?" His frustration grew stronger, and he raised his dagger with a sharp look in his eyes.

Rong Zhouzhong closed his eyes, waiting for the pain to come.

Thud.

A muffled sound, but no pain came.

Rong Zhouzhong was stunned, cautiously opening his eyes to find that Shi Jin's dagger was stuck straight into the back of the chair, right next to his face, without harming him in the slightest.

"Why don't you just say it?" Shi Jin lowered his head, his expression covered in shadows and difficult to discern. "You guys have never made any big mistakes in your lives, always repenting in time. How can I blame you? If the only thing you did wrong was caring too much for me in the first ten years of my life, then it's clear that I was spoiled by you. What can I do...you don't even understand what I'm talking about...Third Brother, are you trying to drive me crazy?"

Rong Zhouzhong was stunned by the deadness in his tone and reached out to grab his arm as he tried to leave.

Shi Jin easily shook off his hand and turned to leave.

He couldn't let him go, or everything would be lost.

"Xiao Jin!" Rong Zhouzhong stood up to chase after him.

Shi Jin threw the dagger directly at him, stopping him in his tracks, and then reached for the door handle.

It was all over, it was really all over.

"You fat pig!" The words escaped his throat before Rong Zhouzhong could even think, and as soon as he realized what he had said, his expression changed. It was as if he had just plunged a dagger into Shi Jin's heart. His fingers began to tremble uncontrollably.

"No, that's not what I meant, Xiao Jin, I'm sorry..." Rong Zhouzhong tried to apologize, but Shi Jin cut him off.

"Say it again," Shi Jin stopped in his tracks and turned to face Rong Zhouzhong. His eyes lit up with a renewed intensity as he approached him, grabbing his arm. "Say it again, with even more disdain and indifference. You can do it, you can do it. Say it again."

In a moment, Rong Zhouzhong saw Shi Jin laughing, a laugh that was about to be released. He didn't understand, feeling like he was in a nightmare, like he had been stripped naked and thrown into the public eye, like... like he was finally going to see the dirtiest and most despicable part of his heart.

He didn't want to say it, but how could he not? His younger brother was about to go crazy.

He's sorry.

"You fat pig." He suppressed all his emotions and put on a superior and malicious tone as he spoke.

Yes, that's who he was. From the very beginning, he saw Shi Jin, his younger brother, in this way. He was a monster with poison needles hidden in his heart, dreaming of dragging his clean and innocent brother into the abyss.

"You ignorant fool." The ability to memorize lines that actors train for is incredibly useful. He watched as Shi Jin's eyes gradually lit up and his expression became more lively, all while maintaining his mask and never stopping his words.

"You are truly hateful and pitiful."

If it weren't for Shi Jin's efforts, he would have definitely said these heart-wrenching words.

"Are you going to die? You're finally going to die."

He was such a terrible person that at some point in the past, he had even thought that it would be better if Shi Jin could just die.

"Why did the Shi family have to add one more child like you?"

I'm sorry.

Sentence after sentence, he felt as if he was cutting Shi Jin's heart piece by piece, watching him suffer in agony, watching him bleed, watching him fall from hope to despair, from light to darkness. These were things he had thought about but never said. He had kept them buried deep inside, pretending that they had never occupied his thoughts and that he was innocent. But he realized that some things, even if left unsaid, could still hurt the other person.

Shi Jin understood everything, except himself.

"I'm sorry, Xiao Jin, I'm sorry." He leaned against the wall, exhausted, and closed his eyes.

It was his tone, his expression.

Shi Jin held his breath and watched Rong Zhouzhong, watching his lips move incessantly, listening to his voice that was still pleasant even when he spoke harshly. Memories and reality slowly overlapped, and the resentment and anger that he couldn't fight back in his memories slowly swelled.

Finally, that mouth stopped and all the harm from his enemy came to an end... He could fight back now.

He took a deep breath. Even if he had to start over, he had a chance to retaliate for all the harm that had never happened in this lifetime.

He released the breath he had been holding and looked up at Rong Zhouzhong. Suddenly, without warning, he raised his fist and slammed it hard into his mouth. "Die, you bastard!"

Rong Zhouzhong groaned as he was hit and fell to the ground. He sat there, looking up at Shi Jin.
